Welcome! My name is Sydney Hall and I am glad you are here. I am excited to join the Apollo community this year.

Background

I was born and raised in Mukilteo, Washington where I attended Kamiak High School. In my senior year I determined that I wanted to work with children and become an educator. From there I applied and started at Western Washington University with the purpose of studying education. My goal was to become a middle school teacher. In my second year of college I ended up transferring to the University of Washington Bothell where I started pursuing a psychology degree. Throughout my education, I have worked with children ages 5-18 in various settings such as camps, mentor programs, and before and after school enrichment. I have a strong passion for social emotional learning and removing barriers to students' academic success and well-being! I am looking forward to building many connections with students, staff, and families through my career as a school counselor.

Camp Columbia 2018

I currently live with my partner Jake and our cats, Frankie & Stevie. I value time spent with my family and close friends, having game nights and sharing meals together! I am also an avid reader and spend as much time as I can curled up in my reading corner with an iced coffee. My current favorite authors are Tarryn Fisher, Colleen Hoover, Riley Sager, & Stephen King. If I weren't a school counselor I would love to be a writer, and hope to make that dream a part of my life in the future! I also love spending time outdoors, whether at the beach, on the lake, or in the mountains. I spend lots of time enjoying the PNW with my partner and my family! I also love to push myself out of my comfort zone and try new things. Just this year I have tried snowshoeing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and snowmobiling all for the first time. In the rest of my free time I love to paint, watch movies, & try new foods. Thank you for taking the time to read more about me 🙂
